Most major polls show Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney within the margin of error of each other in both Michigan and Arizona. Romney’s previously forecast big win no longer looks like a certainty. He trails Santorum in Michigan and Santorum is gaining on him in Arizona.
According to Real Clear Politics:
“Chad Willems, an unaffiliated GOP strategist in Arizona, said the momentum in now with the underdog. “I think that Santorum’s got a really good shot at winning on Tuesday,” he said, though noting that he’s loath to make a prediction given the volatile nature of the primary season.”

Next, we look to the February primaries in Arizona and Michigan, but there is still “a wave of delegates up for grabs.” According to Human Events:
“Only 248 of the 1,144 delegates in the Republican primary have been awarded and so here is a quick look at where the four remaining candidates stand and what their options are going forward.
