Last week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) vowed to act upon Obama’s unprecedented appointment of Richard Cordray as head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Senator Lee plans to try to block Senate consideration of judges and other nominations because Senate Republicans maintain that the manner in which Cordray was appointed is unconstitutional.
“Given this president’s blatant and egregious disregard both for proper constitutional procedures and the Senate’s unquestioned role in such appointments, I find myself duty-bound to resist the consideration and approval of additional nominations until the president takes steps to remedy the situation,†the Senator Lee said.
Consequently, during Obama’s State of the Union address, he made this declaration, “But what frustrates the American people is a Washington where every day is Election Day. We can’t wage a perpetual campaign where the only goal is to see who can get the most embarrassing headlines about the other side -– a belief that if you lose, I win. Neither party should delay or obstruct every single bill just because they can. The confirmation of — (applause) — I’m speaking to both parties now. The confirmation of well-qualified public servants shouldn’t be held hostage to the pet projects or grudges of a few individual senators. “
The New York Post finds the president’s call for the end of partisanship, in the political process, reasonable but points out the duplicitous nature of Obama’s comments when you consider the fact that just minutes after his address he launched a massive email campaign, soliciting funds.
According to the New York Post, the emails asked readers to, “help fuel our fight for the middle class with a monthly donation of $15 or more.”
Then too, instead of providing a preview of the State of the Union address via the White House, which is customary, Obama presented the preview through his campaign. Following the delivery of the actual speech, he hightailed it on to Iowa, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Michigan and Maryland – key states for the acquisition of 270 electoral votes.
KPHO (Phoenix) reports that Republican National Committee spokesman, Ryan Mahoney, expressed his belief that the visit to Arizona, in particular, was merely a campaign stop. “Arizonans need a president focused on their jobs, not a campaigner-in-chief solely focused on his own re-election. Barack Obama should be more focused on getting Arizona’s economy back on track and putting the millions of unemployed Americans back to work instead of constantly campaigning,” he said.
In the Republican Party’s weekly radio address, on Saturday, Marco Rubio summed up his assessment of Obama’s campaign strategy by contending that its goal is to,  “pit Americans against other Americans†in order to get re-elected.

After all of the evidence that Obama is an empty suit with a devious motive to “change” America… after these last 3 years of ‘in-your-face’ belligerence from him… after all of the statistics of job loss, job prevention, energy handicaps, budget crash, non-transparency, and all the rest…. IF anyone can think of a reason to vote him back in, they surely must be on his payroll and desperate. Or dead.
