National Tea Party Tour Kicks Off This Weekend

Tea Party Activists and tens of thousands of concerned Americans will get an early Get-Out-The-Vote boost in September as the Tea Party Express kicks off a major national coast-to-coast tour this weekend. The “Reclaiming America Tour” is scheduled for August 27-September 10, with a National CNN/Tea Party Express Presidential Debate (GOP) happening on September 12th in Tampa, Florida.

The 29 stop tour starts in Napa, California with a “super rally” planned for Saturday, August 27th at 11:00 AM. Halfway through the tour, the Tea Party Express will swing up into New Hampshire before heading south to Florida where a final rally will occur in Jacksonville, Florida.

On September 12th, the Tea Party Express will partner with CNN to host a national GOP Presidential Debate in Tampa, Florida. Read more about the debate on the Tea Party Express website here.

GOTV focused tours such as this are campaign 101 and it’s good to see portions of the movement tackling the effort with such ambition. Every successful political campaign or initiative has a grassroots “building energy on the ground” component and the Tea Party Express fills a void few within the movement are able to fill.

There isn’t a single Presidential campaign that can succeed without hitting the road and rallying supporters. The Tea Party Express takes this to a new level by marrying a tea party infused “political action” message with a fun and entertaining rally.

Several weeks ago the Tea Party Expres lead the charge for the movement by hitting the road in Wisconsin in support of six State Senators facing recall. As earlier reported, the effort was a huge success and proves the power of GOTV energy when properly harnessed.

This is an EPIC victory for the Tea Party Movement. Most media won’t report the reality, but the tea party movement was driving significant momentum behind the scenes throughout Wisconsin. The Tea Party Express and Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama were instrumental in orchestrating grassroots energy and channeling it into GOTV efforts.

Both organizations spent weeks running messaging and media campaigns, and working with activists on the ground to coordinate GOTV strategy. The Tea Party Express hosted a statewide bus tour to rally conservatives for a final GOTV push. There is absolutely ZERO question the effort of these two groups was KEY in what took place in Wisconsin today.

If it weren’t for the Tea Party Express, Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama, Americans for Prosperity of Wisconsin, Club for Growth and a few others… the unions would have walked all over the will of the voters (2010).

Bravo to those who deserve credit. Bravo to the voters who pushed back against this nonsense in Wisconsin. Bravo to those who knocked doors, made phone calls and donated to the incumbents.

The “Reclaiming America Tour” rolls through 19 states (with actual rally stops) so chances are good there is a stop near you.

    Why is it The Tea Party cannot make routes covering the middle and southern states. I’m hoping The Tea Party is planning a kick off for the aforementioned states as well. We’re fighting just as hard as the states you’re traveling to for this kick off, if not harder, for our country to return to its republic roots. We must beat the democrats at all cost.     I have supported the Tea Party and the Tea Party/Tax Revolt movements since last year. However, I am disappointed that the Tea Party is: supporting a middle class de facto tax increase; an anarchist solution to the debt fiasco this summer- re the 25 senators voting against the last piece of legislation; no discussion of religion, the Islamic wars, or some areas of commerce in areas of the movement etc. I have much more in common with Grassfire at this point
